THE Yanchep Two Rocks Probus Club held its first sundowners event in Yanchep this month, a few days after its first official meeting.

President Lorraine Alvin said they officially founded the club on October 25, and planned to hold regular meetings at Yanchep Inn from 5pm on the last Tuesday of each month.

“A full committee was formed with the Rotary Club of Wanneroo sponsoring us and we currently have 35 members and expect the numbers to increase,” she said.

Mrs Alvin said 16 members attended the November 4 sundowners at Fisherman’s Hollow in Yanchep.

“It was our first activity as new Probus members; a lovely night beachside, albeit a bit cool once the sun set,” the Yanchep resident said.

“Sundowners will be held every second Friday of the month with the next one on Friday, December 9 at Two Rocks Marina, below Neptune’s Cafe.

“Sundowners will alternate between Yanchep and Two Rocks and members look forward to venturing north to Seabird where some members are resident.”
