Yanchep’s first PCYC event draws a dozen eager youngsters

ABOUT a dozen youngsters attended the first north metropolitan WA Police and Community Youth Centres (PCYC) event in Yanchep this month.

The PCYC will hold the second free outreach event at the Yanchep District High School oval tomorrow from 3pm-5pm.

Program coordinator Chrissy Howard said 13 youngsters attended the June 23 event at the school, where they could participate in BMX bike, PlayStation and sports activities.

She said a Full Throttle WA PCYC bike repair and rebuild program would be delivered at Alta 1 school, at The Salvation Army Merriwa in third term.

PCYC will also hold free outreach events next month, with one on July 21 at the Yanchep school and another to kick off in Butler in the second week of July.
