Needs ignored

THE WA Government has again snubbed the residents of the northern suburbs by delaying the extension of the Mitchell Freeway north beyond Burns Beach Road.

Due to be completed originally by 2017, it has now been delayed due to budget constraints.

It was already 10 years behind schedule, so we can expect total gridlock by the time this Government decides to spend money on our basic infrastructure.

Colin Barnett hasn’t postponed Bettie’s Jetty or the football stadium and spends $330 million on the Muja Power Station reconditioning that didn’t work.

But obviously he believes our basic needs are not a priority as Labor holds the seat of Butler and he has little to be gained politically by doing the right thing by northern suburbs residents.
