However, I do not think that it is the responsibility of the Government or surf patrol volunteers to make our beaches more patrolled.

Sooner or later we must all be responsible for our own actions. I was horrified to think that a child who was a poor swimmer was not supervised at the beach.

Perhaps I was over protective but until our children were competent swimmers they never went near the water unsupervised.
