Priceless memory

We set off from Karrinyup heading north. It was April the First and nobody twigged our destination.

Your report in last week’s edition headlined ‘Lion park history revived’ reminded me of our helpless laughter as we turned up at that location.

We had our photo taken near the sign stating: ‘Poms on bicycles admitted free’.

Nobody was offended by the racism.

I remember, while I stood with my back to the fence, an elderly lion merely grunted at me, nearly causing me to jump outa me lycra.

No charge for the priceless memory.
