Australian National Archery Championships: Whiteman Park hosts more than 160 archers

ARCHERS from across Australia visited Whiteman Park for the 70th Australian National Archery Championships last week.

More than 160 archers from WA, NSW, Canberra, Tasmania, Victoria and New Zealand attended the six-day event.

The Benara Club, which represented WA in the State team, claimed 12 medals – 10 gold and two silver.

Danie Oosthiuzen was awarded the open male compound all rounder with four gold medals and Sue Swain received the same recognition for the women’s veteran and recurve division, also taking home four gold medals.
