Bedford hosts blind championships

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Held by the Vision Impaired and Blind Bowlers of WA (VIBBWA), the championships have drawn more than 120 blind and visually impaired bowlers and their directors to the state, with 20 bowlers representing WA.

Bowlers are aged 20 to 90 years old and have less than 10 per cent of their vision, with directors acting as their guides on the green.

Bedford Bowling Club president Eric Edelson said it was the first time the club had hosted the championships.
