Round 8 of Swimming WA’s Open Water Swimming Series will be in Alkimos on January 10, with hundred of competitors expected to enter the water.

They will be swimming a range of distances from 500m to 5km, and spectators are encouraged to get down to Waterfront Park in the Shorehaven estate from 7.30 to 10.30am.

There will also be entertainment on land, including beach bowling, a noodle forest, mini shallow water swimming races, face painting and a giant bouncy castle.

The 2016 Open Water Swim Series at Shorehaven is part of a three-year partnership between Swimming WA and developers, which will see the estate host one round of each series until 2018.
