The five-year redevelopment, a collaboration between the club and neighbouring Yanchep Golf Estate developers Peet, started in 2012 and will follow a new course master plan devised by golf course design team Ogilvy Clayton Cocking Mead.
Ogilvy, who was in town for the Perth International, opened the course’s new holes ” two and eight.
‘Perth’s a long way from Arizona but I was so pleased to be able to come; to play in the Perth International and to be here at Yanchep,’ he said.
The next stage of the redevelopment involves works on holes 10, 11 and 12, which are due to be completed in December.
Three replacement holes were established at the start of the works to ensure golfers could enjoy a full 18-hole game without disruption.
