Cricket: junior program in2cricket starts in Eglinton this week

A JUNIOR cricket program will start in Eglinton this Thursday.

Alkimos Districts Cricket Club will start the Milo in2cricket from 4.30pm on November 3 at Heath Park.

The program is open to girls and boys of all abilities aged five to 11, and special needs education assistants will be there to help out.

“We ask the local community to get behind our fledgling club and bring your children down for a Free Come and Try on Thursday,” club president Doug Thorncroft said.

The 10-week program will cost $99, with each participant receiving a bat, ball, shirt, hat, bag and other goodies for being a member.

The club has received $4000 over two years from the Commonwealth Bank and $1250 from Amberton estate developer Stockland.
