Masters Eagles to play for burns victim

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Michael Gunton (20) received burns to 40 per cent of his body while walking in Cannington in January. He had been doused with an accelerant and set on fire.

He has spent the past four months in and out hospital receiving treatment for the burns, including skin grafts.

Gingin Football Club contacted his father, Paul Gunton, who is a Rockingham Rams masters team member, and organised a fundraising match between the clubs.

Match organiser Lynley Fewster said the day would be about having fun and raising money for Michael’s medical expenses. There will be raffle prizes and a burger.
