They are the Northern Warriors, one of four founding teams of Perth’s veteran’s football competition, which began in 1982.
Thirty-one years on, the competition is now known as AFL Masters and the Warriors are Perth’s biggest club, sporting four teams across three age groups.
Club president Wingate said the game was ideal for players who didn’t want to hang up their boots, but wanted to compete against footballers their own age.
