Netball superstar to coach locals

The Wanneroo Districts Netball Association has secured Australia’s most capped international player for two school holiday clinics at Kingsway Sporting Complex on May 1 and 2.

Ellis will focus on skill development, match play and friendship with juniors aged seven to 13.

The budding netballers will be learning from Australia’s best, with Ellis having secured three Netball World Championships and two Commonwealth Games gold medals across 122 Tests as goal keeper.

By the time she retired in 2007, she had won every major netballing accolade, including four Netball Australia MVP awards and four national titles with the Sydney Swifts.

She has coached more than 27,000 children over the past 16 years.
