Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

QUINNS Districts Amateur Football Club will host a masters carnival for men and women this weekend.

President Darren Eiffler said more older women wanted to play football and WA was the second state to introduce a masters competition for women, following Victoria.

Eiffler said about 70 women had registered for Sunday’s carnival at Ridgewood Reserve, with teams from Nollamara and Warnbro taking part in the competition.

Games will run from 10am to noon on April 14, with men’s matches being played as well between the Quinns Bulls, Mandurah, Warnbro and Nollamara teams.
