Quinns FC promoted to state soccer league

QUINNS Football Club has gained promotion to the WA State League for the first time in their history.

A recent win against Gosnells guaranteed the Division 2 league title with three games still to play.

Club president Paul Stickels was ecstatic with result.

“The committee has worked towards this day since we first joined the State League,” he said.

“It’s been part of a plan we put in place three years ago and we’re delighted with this year’s results.”

Former Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson, who is Quinns FC senior coach, was also delighted.

“The boys have worked hard and with three games still to play we can give some up-and-coming players a chance to see what they can do for next year,” he said.
