Quinns Rocks Junior Cricket Club introduces program for teenagers with disabilities

Staff WriterNorth Coast Times

QUINNS Rocks Junior Cricket Club has established a teenage integrated cricket program after being awarded a mentorship with Inclusion Solutions by the WACA earlier this year.

The program allows teenagers with a disability to play cricket while learning and developing their skills in a fun environment.

The innovative program is run alongside an existing junior team, with joint training sessions, and provides an environment where players can integrate into club cricket and gain a sense of belonging.

This program follows on from StarBlast, which started in October, for five to 12-year-olds with disabilities.

The teenage integrated cricket team trains on Tuesdays from 5pm to 6pm at Peter Moyes Anglican Community School in Mindarie.
