Founding president Doug Thorncroft said the Seahawks club would start training and games at Addison Park from mid-April, with its first home game on April 13.

‘We’re encouraging players to come down who want to play footy on a Sunday,’ he said.

‘Our matches will be on a Sunday at noon.’

Mr Thorncroft said they would play at home on alternate weekends and spectators would be sheltered in the clubrooms on Baltimore Parade.

The competition is open to men aged 18 and over and training will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30-8pm.

Mr Thorncroft said the Metropolitan Football League had eight teams across Perth, including the Yanchep Red Hawks.
