More than four decades on, Fred Treble, now 75 and a coach at Neerabup’s KO Boxing Club, has become one of the State’s longest-serving amateur boxing experts.

Such is his love for the sport, he has trained WA fighters at no financial gain for 42 years.

The Englishman pioneered Wanneroo’s first boxing club in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion on arrival from Liverpool in 1972.
