POWER, sex, ambition and greed – it’s just another day at the office in Murray Music and Drama Club’s production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

The show is a clever lampoon of life on the corporate ladder and pokes fun at big business in the early 1960s.

A tune-filled comic gem that took Broadway by storm, winning both the Tony Award for Best Musical and a Pulitzer, the show boasts an exhilarating score of sparkling tunes and production numbers.

The story follows the rise of J Pierrepont Finch who uses a little handbook to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-power executive.

Along the way, he must avoid the lurking dangers of getting stuck in the mailroom, the boss’s mistress, the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and true love.

The irreverent romp is packed with sly, swift and sharp jabs to the funny bone and entertaining characters such as the sexy Hedy La Rue, Bud Frump, conniving nephew of the boss and a boss who is a closet knitter to help deal with marital stress.
