Bikies blitz south of Perth sees one charged with steroids

POLICE intercepted a bikies “club run” at the weekend and laid a variety of charges.

More than 50 gang members, nominees and associates departed the Metropolitan Region on Saturday morning and travelled towards Collie.

Gang Crime Squad officers conducted a vehicle checkpoint on the Pinjarra Williams Road, Quindanning which involved roadside breath and drug tests, vehicle compliance checks and intelligence gathering.

Officers continued to monitor gang members throughout the weekend.

As a result of Saturday’s vehicle checkpoint, police charged one person with possession of steroids, four roadside drug tests were sent for further analysis, two people were charged by summons with no authority to drive, and another three received infringements for the same offence, two others were issued traffic infringements and 17 work orders were issued in relation to vehicle compliance.
