Man seriously injured in alleged home invasion

A MAN was flown to a Perth hospital after he received “significant head injuries” in an alleged home invasion in Withers, south of Bunbury, last Friday.

Police say that at around 4.30am three men forced entry into a home on Hudson Road.

They say one of the men was armed with an axe and assaulted the two occupants who live at the address.

A man aged in his 30s received significant head injuries from the assault and was flown to a Metropolitan hospital for emergency treatment.

He is currently in a stable condition.

A man aged in his 40s received minor head injuries.

On Saturday September 21 a 42-year-old Bunbury man appeared at Bunbury Magistrates Court charged with aggravated burglary and commit, grievous bodily harm and wounding.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in the Busselton Magistrates Court on October 11.
