RDAWA executive officer Kelly Mansfield said more than 1000 riders of all ages with intellectual and physical disabilities attended centres around WA and the games was the one event where everyone came together to show the improvements they had made, not only as a rider but in their daily lives.

Riders participate in a range of individual games and the mounted fancy dress competition is a highlight of the day.

For the first time, the event will be open to the general public with face painting, balloon twisting a trackless train, biscuit decorating and a family treasure hunt.
