Pinjarra: Police charge teen after alleged machete incident

POLICE have charged a 16-year-old boy after he allegedly threatened a 31-year-old man with a machete in Pinjarra.

Police say the teen was riding a small motorcycle on August 22 and the victim witnessed him driving dangerously.

The victim stopped the teen and took possession of the bike before telling him to go home and talk to his parents.

The 16-year-old was unhappy and so he returned to the victim and allegedly threatened him with a machete.

Police said no one was injured.

The 16-year-old was charged with driving without a license and being armed to cause fear.

He is due to appear in Mandurah Children’s Court on September 10.
