Pinjarra: Primadonna cast’s fine interpretation of Spamalot

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

EVEN if some of the Monty Python humour might have gone over their young heads, Primadonna Productions put on three hilarious performances of a shortened Spamalot at Pinjarra Civic Centre at the weekend while appearing to also be having a ball.

Monty Python’s Young Part edition is the authentic 60-70 minute version of the Broadway hit musical for schools and youth theatre.

Young Part musicals are tailor made for younger actors, some keys are changed and songs and scenes edited for time while keeping the focus of the original show intact.

Steven Jones did a right royal job as King Arthur while Liam McCormack is an absolute treat as the villager who refuses to stay dead and as the French taunter complete with convincing accent.

The Knights of Ni were also a delight.
