EMERITUS Professor Ken Harrison hosted a special lecture for ATAR Maths students at Pinjarra Senior High School.

Professor Harrison is a member of the committees which developed the ATAR mathematics courses and the ATAR mathematics exams.

The aim of the lecture was to prepare students for the ATAR exams by giving them an insider’s advice on both subject matter and exam preparation.

Prof Harrison also mentors the Murdoch University students who participate in the Pathways to STEM program, which provides online tutoring support to students in regional WA.

Pinjarra Senior High School is one of the schools whose students receive support through this program.

Principal Rob Lawson said the visit was an example of how Murdoch University was assisting regional high schools.
