ST Vinnies Pinjarra has a new store manager who is keen to re-invigorate the shop and recruit new volunteers.

Lee Maidment is focused on providing a great shopping experience for the local community.

St Vinnies Pinjarra needs volunteers to work at the front counter, ringing up sales and generally helping with customer service and merchandising.

Mr Maidment said volunteers always had a great time and enjoyed the chance to give back to the community, working in a supportive environment and trained in all areas of a retail environment including register operation, customer service, sorting and pricing donations and merchandising.

“With a wide range of great quality second hand items including clothing, home wares and furniture all at an affordable price, it is an important outlet for many people in the local community,’’ he said.

“Vinnies shops provide more than a retail opportunity, they are pivotal in providing welfare support to people who are doing it tough.’’

Profit from the sale of all goods goes directly towards Emergency Relief Assistance as well funding important support services for the local community.
