Two face court following discovery of homemade guns in Waroona

TWO men will face court following the discovery of homemade guns in Waroona yesterday (August 2).

Police said it was about 8.30pm when they stopped a Nissan Ute on South West Highway near James Road in Waroona.

During a search of the Ute police allegedly found home-made guns, ammunition, a knife and prohibited drugs.

A 25-year-old man from Dwellingup has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful manufacture of a firearm, possessingĀ a prohibited weapon and possessing drug paraphernalia.

A 38-year-old man from Pinjarra has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Both men will appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on August 29.
