Sedated on the way to being launched

Staff ReporterSouthern Gazette

Comprising of Dave Moran, Mark Thomas and Victoria Park resident Rob Susanto, The Date are celebrating the launch of their second album Sedated with a special performance in Fremantle.

After playing and collaborating on a number of projects since 2000, the trio decided to start writing and gigging together as a group in 2009, and The Date was born.

Susanto said their sound was a mix of hard rock, blues-influenced, melodic and articulated sound played with feeling, fun and fearlessness.

The Date is at the Fly by Night Club on July 19, with special guests The Graphic Fiction Heroes and The Red Embers.
