Arrows take aim at medals

The former has several national events behind him, but it will be the first time Crofts has been on the national stage.

About 15 Arrows divers, including Kathleen Sullivan from Myaree, will compete in categories from 11-and-under to 30-49 at the four-day event that will attract about 150 divers and their families to Perth.

Norman, who won gold on the 1m board at the World Masters in 2009, will compete in three events.

He said he was nervous about competing in the tower section, but it was ‘fun to get out there’.

In contrast, Crofts said he had no nerves going in to possibly three events at the national event.

The Hale School student, who took up diving two years ago, said he enjoyed the sport because ‘it’s fun and it’s not too strict’.

‘The 3m board is my favourite event,’ Crofts said.
