Belmont Men’s Shed gets a new lease of life

Kaylee MartinSouthern Gazette

WITH a much-needed fresh coat of paint, the Belmont Men’s Shed now has a new lease of life.

Bunnings Warehouse team members across Belmont and East Victoria Park joined forces with the Men’s Shed group to paint the entire exterior on Tuesday.

The shed opened earlier this year, providing a safe, no-pressure environment where local men use their skills on a range of projects in the community.

It also offers a powerful social environment, where men interact and discuss any issues in a non-threatening environment.

Bunnings Warehouse Belmont Complex manager Carol Prime said her team was happy to help the Belmont Men’s Shed.

“Belmont Mens Shed is an important part of our community, so it’s great to be able to help them out with some much needed painting,” she said.

Our team members are part of the community and we actively support a wide range of local community groups.”
