Belmont provides sport solution for high risk hours

Nadia BudihardjoSouthern Gazette

STREET soccer sessions have popped up at Belmont Forum thanks to a partnership of Football West, WA Police and City of Belmont.

Football West Inclusive Development officer Elmi Ali said the Street Football program addressed the need for out-of-school initiatives during the high risk hours of 3pm to 7pm.

“It’s an informal program that encourages children and youth to participate while feeling free and comfortable without constant instructions being introduced,” he said.
