The supermarket, one of four opening that day, is in the Belmont Forum. Centre manager Alexandra McAuliffe is expecting lots of shoppers bright and early for when the store starts trading at 8.30am.

“Our shoppers are telling us that it’s exciting to have one of WA’s first Aldi stores on their doorstep,” Ms McAuliffe said.

“Many people in the area have experienced Aldi elsewhere in Australia or in Europe so we’re expecting more than a few fans in the queue tomorrow morning.

“Many others will simply be curious and eager to find out what the world’s most-loved discount retailer has to offer them.”

Ms McAuliffe said Aldi’s arrival at Belmont Forum was a prime example of how the shopping centre was evolving to better reflect the local community’s changing needs and desires.

“We’ve welcomed entertainment specialist JB Hi-Fi Home and family-friendly department store Best and Less,” she said.

“Woolworths has also recently completed an expansion and full refurbishment and there will be celebrations to launch the new-look Kmart store next Wednesday.”

Belmont Forum’s new individual private parenting suites have received the Australian Breastfeeding Association’s approval and highest rating.
