TAKING all the best of Perth’s talented designers, make-up artists and hair stylists, Ascot resident Kirsty Noakes has developed a knack for uniting local creatives.

With a passion for small business, the Shop & Style Specialists (SASS) founder has been working closely with creators of the Belmont Small Business Awards to bring a taste of fashion to the local event.

Featuring local labels including Concrete Ambition, Jonte Designs, Siss on Bare and more, Ms Noakes curated the first fashion runway at the launch of the 23rd Belmont Small Business Awards last month.

“It was an incredible honour to be asked to produce this live fashion event for the launch of the Belmont Small Business Awards,” Ms Noakes said.

“Working with Perth designers, models, photographers and beauty professionals to pull together this show was thrilling for me.”

After being honoured with the Home Based Business Award last year, Ms Noakes said her styling business had been flourishing.

“There has definitely been an increase in brand awareness, strategic partnerships and my loyal client base,” she said.

“I’d highly recommend small businesses to enter the awards and enjoy the 23-year-old tradition of celebrating hard work, passion and the commitment it takes to run a small business in WA.”

SASS will produce another live runway to highlight local talents for the awards night this year.

“I can’t wait to put together another great fashion event for the small business elite here in Perth,” Ms Noakes said.

Entries to the Belmont Small Business Awards close in September before the official awards night in October.
