Big damage bill from blaze

A number of people escaped unharmed from the house fire, which started about 1am at the front of the Bourke Street house.

Firefighters from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the fire. An initial assessment of the fire scene suggested the circumstances surrounding the fire may have been suspicious.

The fire caused $80,000 worth of damage.
