A BOAT moored at Ascot Waters Marina has caught fire this morning, with smoke bellowing metres in to the sky.
The fire ignited just before 6am on Thursday morning and flames soon engulfed the 30ft boat.
Department of Fire and Emergency crews and police officers are at the scene trying to extinguish the flames to prevent them spreading to nearby vessels.

A smoke alert was issued for the City of Belmont around Stoneham Street between Great Eastern Highway and Resolution Drive before the fire was extinguished.
Water Police towed the gutted boat about two hours after the fire started on-board.
The cause of the blaze is still unknown but believed to have been electrical.
The owner of the vessel is overseas.
