Bosses to brave elements

As part of the 2015 Vinnies CEO Sleepout, chief executives will spend a night out in the cold to raise money for homelessness across Australia.

Belmont-based St Vincent de Paul Society chief executive Mark Fitzpatrick said he was confident that this year was going to be another record breaker.

"We are lucky to have so many community and business leaders in WA who support this event and are passionate about raising awareness around homelessness and helping people doing it tough," he said.

"I have been spending much of my time in the past few weeks meeting prominent business leaders and encouraging them to get involved in what is often a life-changing experience."

He said there were 105,237 people experiencing homelessness every night across Australia.

"Currently about 10,000 people are experiencing homelessness in WA and the majority of people experiencing homelessness are under the age of 35 " people in the prime of their life who have become trapped in a cycle of disadvantage,� he said.
