Through her positive attitude, she was out of hospital in four days and recovering at home.

Last week, Amy was one of 12 young West Australians, who were recognised for their bravery at the 19th annual AJ Diamond Club Bravery Awards.

Just two months ago, Amy (6), was unwell for several days and was admitted to the Fremantle Hospital Children’s ward via Princess Margaret Hospital Emergency Department, where she was treated for a kidney infection and pneumonia.

Amy was ill with high fevers and loin pain and bravely endured a lot of blood tests, X-rays and ultrasounds to find out what was making her sick.
