Building on ancient wisdom

This term all the students at the school have been learning about Australia’s indigenous culture and taking part in building the Aboriginal hut has evoked conversations among the students.

Aboriginal Islander education officer Honey Webb said it had been a rewarding and important learning journey, of which Curtin Primary was very proud.

‘The whole school got involved and students have had a great time while gaining a greater understanding of the old ways of life for indigenous people first-hand,’ she said.
