Burswood: police search of random car nets thousands in cash and 1kg of marijuana

PERTH police will allege a man had $46,000 cash and 1kg of marijuana in his car pulled over when in Burswood Circus about 4pm on November 3.

“We will allege that when he was stopped he had a duffle bag stuffed full of cannabis,” Sergeant Mat Griffin said.

Sgt Griffin said the car was selected at random for a search.

A Burswood man (21) has been charged with possession of an illegal drug.

He may also face upgraded charges relating to the cash.

He was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
