Bus passenger attacked, punched unconscious in Cloverdale

POLICE are looking for a thug who beat a man unconscious on a bus in Cloverdale.

The vicious attack happened on the afternoon of Monday, January 21 and came despite the man in his 60s choosing to sit close to the bus driver in a front seat.

He was rendered unconscious by a flurry of punches to his head from his attacker.

The attacker then started to walk away, but returned to land a final punch before leaving the bus.

Police said the two men boarded the bus together at a bus stop in Wright Street, where the attacker had earlier asked the other man for a cigarette.

They have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak with, who is described as brown skinned, about 30 years old, thin build and with shaved, short hair.

He was wearing a black Adidas T-shirt and blue jeans.
