Mayor Sue Doherty said the installations were a creative opportunity for visitors to Fiesta to take part in the festival now in its 20th year.

‘Discover the locations across the City, collect ribbons from nearby shops and businesses and add your contribution to the festival, as you help to wrap our City with colour this Fiesta,’ she said.

‘Wrapping has already started with some of our most popular locations already colour wrapped.

‘Keep an eye out for the ribbon wrap transforming Mends Street, Angelo Street and Waterford Plaza and come along and discover that hidden gem of creativeness in yourself.’

There are boxes of ribbons at selected retailers and cafes across the City.
