Carlisle man Ahmed Dawood Seedat (36) has pleaded guilty to murdering his wife Fahima Yusuf, whose body was found in a shallow grave in the couple’s rear garden in September last year.
Seedat appeared in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court via videolink from Hakea prison on Wednesday when he pleaded guilty to murdering his 32-year-old wife.
A psychiatric report was ordered ahead of a sentencing hearing in the Supreme Court on May 8 after his defence lawyer said there were “complex psychological factors” in the couple’s relationship.
Seedat was charged with murder following an investigation by Homicide Squad detectives after his wife was reported missing by her family.
