Carlisle woman charged following southern suburbs midnight car chase

A WOMAN has been arrested following a high speed car chase in a SS Holden Commodore this morning.

Police allege they tried to stop the 29-year-old Carlisle woman about 12:55am on Balfour Street in Huntingdale.

According the police, the car did not stop and evaded police through the south eastern suburbs.

Police air wing officers directed police to the car which had been abandoned on Tait Street in Armadale.

The driver allegedly fled from the car but was apprehended by officers.

The woman is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court today charged with four counts of gains benefit by fraud, three counts of breaching bail, aggravated home burglary, stealing, stealing a car, possession of cannabis, aggravated failing to stop, reckless driving to escape pursuit and providing false details.
