A FATHER and son have faced court over the alleged torture of a man who was found naked and bleeding on a Perth street.

Officers responded after receiving numerous calls from people who had seen the bleeding victim, aged in his 40s, on Friday night in Carlisle.

Confronting footage shows the man staggering down a road, covering his genitals with his hands, pleading for help.

He suffered multiple injuries that police say were inflicted by a “bladed weapon” and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police launched a hunt for his attackers after establishing he was hurt at a nearby residence, where no one was present when officers arrived.

On Sunday night, police executed a search warrant at a Belmont residence and charged Robert Allan Exell, 52, with deprivation of liberty and two counts of committing an unlawful act with intent to harm.

They said several items of interest to the investigation were seized.

His 30-year-old son, Raymond Jay Excell, has since been charged with the same offences and faced Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The father is due to face court again on July 8, while the son is scheduled for September 3.
