AAPSouthern Gazette

SERIOUS allegations have been made against a West Australian policeman who caused a four-car pile-up near Perth Airport.

The officer was off-duty when he crashed into a vehicle on Airport Drive on Friday night, sparking a chain reaction.

In a statement on Saturday, police said a passenger in one of the vehicles suffered serious back injuries.

The officer was stood down from all operational duties pending the outcome of an investigation by the major crash and internal affairs units.
