Child hospitalised after crash near zoo

A BOY has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car near Perth Zoo this morning.

The incident occurred on Labouchere Road near Perth Zoo at about 11.19am.

Police said there were two cars involved in the crash and one of the vehicles has collided with a young boy.

A St John Ambulance spokesperson said the boy, who was younger than 10 years of age, was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital but with non-life threatening injuries.

The spokesperson said a woman in her 30s was taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital.
