City of South Perth warns residents to be aware of ‘parking penalties’ scam

Bronwyn DonovanSouthern Gazette

CITY of South Perth is advising residents to be aware of a ‘parking penalties’ scam.

Emails stating they are from council are requesting recipients to pay an infringement via a link to a penalty notice and references the Infringements Act 2006.

The City asks residents not click the link as it could infect computers with a virus, malware or a Trojan, but instead delete the email.
