Sophie MooreSouthern Gazette

A CLOVERDALE family’s Christmas was nearly ruined last night after their presents were stolen from right under the Christmas tree.

A 16-year-old boy from Cloverdale and an 18-year-old man from Bedfordale were charged by South Eastern Metropolitan Police Officers for allegedly breaking into an Abernethy Road home while the occupants were sleeping.

The two males were disturbed by the occupants and fled with presents.

Police located the pair nearby and arrested them a short time later.
