Cloverdale family’s Xmas nearly ruined after thieves make off with presents

A CLOVERDALE family’s Christmas was nearly ruined last night after their presents were stolen from right under the Christmas tree.

A 16-year-old boy from Cloverdale and an 18-year-old man from Bedfordale were charged by South Eastern Metropolitan Police Officers for allegedly breaking into an Abernethy Road home while the occupants were sleeping.

The two males were disturbed by the occupants and fled with presents.

Police located the pair nearby and arrested them a short time later.

The presents were recovered, still wrapped up.

The duo were charged with aggravated burglary and stealing.

The Bedfordale man will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on January 13 while the boy from Cloverdale will appear in the Perth Children’s Court on the same date.
