A LUCKY Western Australian has won a share of Saturday’s Lotto Superdraw division 1 prize pool.

Taking home a cool $1.9 million, the winner is one of 11 tickets purchased nation-wide to share the prize.

Another 21 WA ticket holders have won $10,586 each in Division 2.

The golden ticket was sold at Belmont News in Cloverdale.

The store is on a lucky streak, also selling a division 1 winning ticket worth $200,493 last month.

Owner John Ferrier said 2016 has been their luckiest year.

“We’ve sold a lot of first division Lotto and scratchie tickets,” he said.

He hopes Saturday’s winner is a regular customer.

“Then they’ll come in and tell me,” he said.

“In all my years of selling division 1 winners nobody has ever come in and said, ‘I won!’

“It’d be nice if someone came in and said thanks for selling them the ticket.”

“But really, it’s great for Cloverdale and the people here,” Ferrier said.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone says Cloverdale is WA’s current Lotto hot spot, with five division 1 winning tickets sold in the suburb this year alone.

“When you play with Lotterywest you’re not only in for a chance to make your Lotto dreams come true you’re also helping raise funds for you local community and thanks to support from our players in the Superdraw, over $4 million has been raised to help WA,” Compagnone said.

WA has had 68 division one winners this year sharing in almost $113 million worth of prizes.

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from Saturday’s winner and reminds everyone to check their tickets for the winning numbers 33, 39, 20, 23, 42 and 15.
