Ben Currell makes up one third of the creative team behind Co-Laboratories, alongside Michael Haynes and Barnaby Nichols.

The space launched late last month and Mr Currell said while it had been a whirlwind so far, the learning experience had been fantastic.

“It’s been a pretty quick process, Barnaby and Michael came up with the idea in a bar in Fremantle in February,” he said.

“Since then, following the approval and support from the Town of Victoria Park, it has been a flurry of sanding, screwing, painting and rearranging.”

With a high calibre of business professionals, Victoria Park was deemed the perfect location for Co-Laboratories.

“Victoria Park has a vibrant identity and an established base of small businesses, entrepreneurs, students and artists,” Mr Currell said.

“The atmosphere inside the space is comfortable, constructive and open.

“Our partners will ensure members and visitors feel welcomed to a place where they can freely share ideas, find collaborators and work in a productive environment.”

Co-Laboratories is open seven days a week.
